Drop Shipping General Information
What is drop shipping? A drop ship is a shipment that is sent directly to the customer from Trims-Things - all you do is pay for the merchandise and shipping amounts, and provide us with the customer information and we take care of the rest. You do not have to worry about packaging the products and taking them to a carrier to get them shipped. And since we do not deal directly with the end user, you do not have to worry about us soliciting your customer for future business.
Why would I want to drop ship? We know that time is money and you should spend time doing what you do best - selling the products, let Trims-Things Sewing Outlet worry about getting the product to your customer. Simply put, by us shipping the product to your customer, you do not have to worry about the process of shipping the items, which include boxing and packaging the product to meet carriers packaging specifications, finding the proper box size, and taking the shipment to a carrier company. Not to mention the shipping times from us to you, then the additional shipping times from you to your customer. And as stated above, since we do not sell to the end user, we will not solicit your customer.
What methods of drop ship are available? There are two types of drop ship that Trims-Things Sewing Outlet offers. The first is a regular drop ship in which we ship the product to your customer WITHOUT an invoice. The second type is a blind drop ship in which, as far as the customer is concerned, is shipped directly from your location. This is achieved by putting the UPS return address to your company and address, as well as including a copy of your invoice with the package. A copy of your invoice to the customer must be received at the time the order is placed. You can fax a copy of this invoice to (610) 706-0619 to be included with the package. You must specify a BLIND drop ship, otherwise, a standard drop ship will be done to your customer.
Terms and Conditions
Payment Options: For ALL DROPSHIP customers, the invoice will need to be pre-paid prior to Trims-Things shipping the product. The shipping total will be added to your invoice and will need to be pre-paid also.
Drop Ship Policies
Trims-Things will provide you with the tracking number information upon request. Any inquiries, delays in shipments, or other issues should be directed at the carrier company.
Trims-Things will ship via US Mail, please indicate if you have a method of choice (UPS, Ground service, Next Day service, etc.). You agree to all the terms, conditions, guarantees, etc. of that carrier. It is your responsibility to let us know whether the package is going to a residential or business address, as the shipping charges will differ depending on which type the package(s) are shipped to.
Trims-Things will insure the packages for their value (the amount you paid for the product) and will be configured into the shipping total. All products that are drop shipped MUST BE purchased from Trims-Things.com. This means that you cannot take the products, sew a quilt, and then bring it back to have us ship it. All items will be shipped from our stock.
You as our client may inquire about a tracking number and/or any discrepancies in the shipment. Do not have your customer contact us directly. It is your responsibility to get us a copy of your invoice to the customer in a timely manner for blind drop shipments. A delay in receiving your credit card authorization could delay the shipment.
